With flowers in bloom and warmer weather finally here, nature is beginning to call us outdoors. At Rolling Ridge, we are committed to a contemplative spirituality that connects all people, God, and creation. We believe that nature is God's first revelation. When we take time in the natural world to listen for the Creator, creation declares the beauty and mystery of God. We invite you to join us at Rolling Ridge for some nature contemplation through this upcoming season of Pray and Paddle and our ongoing monthly Worship with the Woods.
Our Pray and Paddle season begins on Saturday, June 8th with the writings of Wendell Berry guiding our day. Pray and Paddle approaches paddling as a contemplative or meditative practice, a time to slow down and paddle in silence on Lake Cochichewick. Join Kent Harrop, our Pray and Paddle coordinator, as he will provide you with the basics of kayaking/canoeing and then guide the time using a form of lectio divina. There are only a few more spots open for this inaugural event from 9-noon on June 8th.
Other Pray and Paddle events for the season include:

From water to land, Rolling Ridge also has opportunities to connect with nature through our monthly Worship with the Woods.
Worship with the Woods meets this Sunday, May 26th at 3 pm as we learn to listen for nature's sermon. Celebrate the Divine presence in all things as we seek to live in harmony with everyone and everything. We meet in the Rolling Ridge parking lot at 3 pm and then head to our Point of Pines outdoor chapel where our Executive Director, Larry Jay, leads in a time of nature contemplation. If you can't make it this Sunday, Worship with the Woods meets year-round on the fourth Sunday at 3 pm. If nature is your "church", this is the place for you.
Along with these Rolling Ridge opportunities, we invite you to "get outside" at the Ridge with our eco-partners (pictured above). Through volunteer opportunities in the Giving Garden, outdoor education for children with Nature Play with Kay, or forest bathing and wild yoga with Nature's Pace, there are growing opportunities to connect with God and creation at Rolling Ridge.
