Dear Friends,
Picture the holidays… Friends and family together around a beautiful table… a bountiful meal… stories told… laughter shared… warm feelings kindled with fire in the hearth and love in the home.
Filled with warmth and comfort, “Hearth and Home” is a beautiful phrase of security and love for the people and places we cherish most. Hearth and home create spiritual belonging and reflect the sacred space our souls seek, especially during this time of year.
At Rolling Ridge, “HEARTH & HOME” also reflects our vision for the next 75 years.
We are focusing our ministry on transforming lives by teaching people to HEAR their HEART, through ART and EARTH (HEARTH), with Hospitality Our Main Event (H-O-M-E). HEARTH and HOME, get it?
Many people come to Rolling Ridge seeking a safe and quiet place to retreat. While seated around the HEARTH of our blazing fireplace, they find their spiritual HOME in this sacred place. Onsite, in North Andover, but also online, Rolling Ridge is warming hearts, creating community, and continuing our 75-year legacy of transforming lives.

As Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Lawrence Jay guides the vision and direction of Rolling Ridge. As well as working with our staff to ensure the best possible guest experience, he partners with retreat leaders to provide excellent programming at the Ridge. A trained spiritual director and ordained American Baptist pastor, Larry (as he is known by friends) is a graduate of UCLA, Golden Gate Seminary, Franciscan School of Theology, American Baptist Seminary of the West, and the Gateways to God Missional Spiritual Direction Program. He is also Adjunct Faculty at Merrimack College in the Masters of Spirituality and Spiritual Direction programs. Eco-spirituality is his passion (and was the subject of his doctoral dissertation), encouraging everyone to live into the fullness of our connection with nature, God, and all people.

Rolling Ridge exists to connect all people, God, and creation at our retreat center and grounds in North Andover, MA, as well as around the world through our online programming. Rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition, we offer spiritually transformative programming that brings together retreat leaders and participants to pursue and practice encounters with the Divine.
