At the Ridge, we tend to use “retreat” as a noun, as a time to get away, but in this week's Take Your Time Tuesday video, Rolling Ridge Director, Lawrence Jay, looks at “retreat” as a verb.
"To retreat" is not so much a destination as it is a change we make in our heart as we turn and run to find a safe place. Thus, we can retreat daily through spiritual practices, but with all that wars around us, we also need to retreat (verb) to a retreat (noun), and make plans for an extended time of rest to find the strength our weary spirits need.
Although our Rolling Ridge retreats now meet online, with the Rolling Ridge property now reopen, we invite you to return to our grounds for a day or an overnight and to login to one of our online retreats while here. In other words, we invite you to get out of your house and come to our house as you retreat to the quiet beauty of Rolling Ridge online while onsite.
