Program Details

Come joinThe Men of Illuman New Englandfor a deep dive into the spiritual wisdom of The Enneagram.This interactive retreat will start with dinner on Friday, April 14, 2023 and conclude mid- day, Sunday, April 16.

Your experience will be enriched if you have some familiarity with your Enneagram type. Men who areunfamiliarwiththeir primary type and their wings are encouraged to use the link and/or book below to help them discern it.We also recommend reading the book,The Sacred Enneagramby Christopher Heuertz.

To get started, you are invited to useThe Riso-Hudson Enneagram Type Indicatorto identify your type and your triad.Another useful resource isThe Essential Enneagramby David Daniels and Virginia Price [ISBN 97-0-06-171316-3].The cost of each is around $10.00.

Part of the retreat will involve each of us sharing about how our type suggests our strengths when we are at the top of our game, and our challenges when we are under stress. We will also be especially curious to explore how the Enneagram gives us insight into our spiritual development.

The retreat will provide each of us with the opportunity to learn – from prerecorded video presentations, small group sharing, large group processing, and time spent wandering in nature. Weather permitting, there will be a campfire on Saturday night to further deepen our connection with self, others, and the divine.

Retreat starts with check-in on Friday evening, April 14 at 4 pm with dinner at 6:00 pm followed by introductions and a brief program. The retreat concludes with lunch on Sunday, April 16.

All registrants are expected to participate in the entire program.

Onsite lodging space is limited to the first 15 men who register.Meals and lodging are included in the registration fees of $350.00 for single room, $300.00 for double room, and $245.00 for commuters.

Once the rooms at Rolling Ridge are filled, we have arranged for additional accommodation at the nearby Holiday Inn. Contact Tony Pelusi for details.

To support the ongoing work of Illuman in New England, we will be collecting a freewill offering from all participants upon arrival.($25 recommended amount).

About the Leaders

Rich Fitzpatrick

Rich is President of Fitzpatrick Consulting which offers strategy and organizational development services to the broad health care industry. He has a PhD as a Clinical Psychologist and was on the teaching faculty of the Harvard Medical School for
seventeen years, specializing in advancing the development of Residents in Internal Medicine. He was also Chief of Behavioral Health at Harvard Community Health Plan and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates for many years.He served as Board Chair of
the North Shore United Way and is now a Board Director at Lifebridge of the North Shore. He and his wife, Caroline, have raised three children and live in Rockport, MA.

George Sawin

George Sawin is the Convenor of the New England Men of Illuman. He is a devoted seeker whose life is enriched by helping others. George is an experienced, licensed Mental Health Professional based in Wellesley, MA. He specializes in relationship issues, parenting, and
substance abuse. As Husband, Dad and Grandpa, he employs his professional training, and life's lessons, to help people discover what they want out of life.
