January 12, 2024
As the festivities of a new year begin to fade, the realities of 2024 weigh heavy as war, violence, and hateful rhetoric continue to fill the news. We invite you to consider a new year's resolution of moving from judgement to compassion and embracing a spirituality of listening with your heart.
The headlines scream, tensions rise, and the Israel-Hamas conflict feels overwhelming. But understanding comes through shared stories, not soundbites. Join us Wednesday, January 24th from 6:30-8:30 PM ET (online or in-person) for a Voices and Stories event on the Israel-Hamas War. Rabbi Howard Mandell will guide us through the complex history of the region, exploring the delicate distinctions between anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, and anti-Israel. Building bridges of understanding is how we begin to move from judgement to compassion. We hope that you will clear your calendar and join us for this very important conversation.
At Rolling Ridge, we teach about contemplative spirituality as we help people be "wholly present to the Holy Presence in everyone and everything." This way of being in the world begins with understanding the "Way of the Heart" and learning to listen to the Spirit within. Beginning February 1st and continuing Thursday evenings until Easter, we invite you to join us for an online 8-week experiential learning cohort that inspires and equips us to make the counter-cultural shift to “centered living” from the heart. In a safe and sacred space, you will re-member your connections with God, yourself and all created beings, gain practical skills for living into wholeness, expand your spiritual practices, and discern what leads you toward Life. We invite you to awaken to Life's Fullness through discovering the Way of the Heart.
Along with Way of the Heart, Rolling Ridge has many other opportunities to strengthen your spiritual journey during Lent.
Our 2024 Lenten series focuses on embodied spiritual practices including:
