Following The Way Of The Heart

A new year invites us to consider new resolutions. It's not too late to start 2024 in a new "spiritual groove" and allow the ministries of the Ridge to transform your soul.  We invite you to join us on the journey into God and discover the "Way of the Heart."

At Rolling Ridge, we teach about contemplative spirituality as we help people be "wholly present to the Holy Presence in everyone and everything." This way of being in the world begins with understanding the "Way of the Heart" and learning to listen to the Spirit within.  Beginning February 1st and continuing Thursday evenings until Easter, we invite you to join us for an online 8-week experiential learning cohort that inspires and equips us to make the counter-cultural shift to “centered living” from the heart.  In a safe and sacred space, you will re-member your connections with God, yourself and all created beings, gain practical skills for living into wholeness, expand your spiritual practices, and discern what leads you toward Life.  We invite you to awaken to Life's Fullness through discovering the Way of the Heart.

In under a month, the journey of Lent begins.  This year, we invite you to walk the way of saints, hermits, prophets, and rebels as we consider "Holy Solitude" during our 7 week Lenten Prayer Journey.  With Heidi Haverkamp's book as our guide, we will consider how heroes of the faith experienced the powerful presence of God and were transformed by the still small voice that speaks when we are silent.  We invite you to join our Sunday vespers Lenten series from 6-7 pm beginning February 18th.  For those who might want to lean into  deeper spaces of reflection and silence, join us for our Taize Lenten Quiet Day on February 20th, with overnight companioned retreat opportunities to enrich your Lenten Journey.

Along with following the "Way of the Heart" and "Holy Solitude," we invite you to also consider the journey "From Judgement to Compassion" in a Voices and Stories event on the Israel-Hamas War.  Join us Wednesday, January 24th from 6:30-8:30 PM ET (online or in-person) as Rabbi Howard Mandell guides us through the complex history of the region, exploring the delicate distinctions between anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, and anti-Israel.  Building bridges of understanding is how we begin to move from judgement to compassion.  We hope that you will clear your calendar and join us for this very important conversation.

We do not know what the New Year journey will hold for you, but at Rolling Ridge, we hope to companion you through the Way of the Heart, in Holy Solitude, from Judgement to Compassion for a transforming 2024.  We invite you to join us on the adventure.
