As the days are getting shorter and the New England autumn colors abound, join us as we transition from the lighter half to the darker half of the year, where the veil lies thin through space and time.  We invite you to attend a Remembrance Retreat on the Labyrinth celebrating Dios de Los Muertos, All Hallow’s Eve and All Saints Day.

This Thursday, October 31st retreat (with day and overnight options) provides time to gather and walk the labyrinth with meaning as we remember friends and family members who have passed through the veil of death. Put your feet to your prayers as you take each step, twist, and turn on the labyrinth path.  You are invited to bring a picture or item that allows you to remember your loved one that has passed.

During the day retreat from 9:30-3:30, we will honor these sweet memories by creating a remembrance altar, enjoying a warm outdoor fire with s’more making fellowship, sharing our stones of remembrance, walking candlelit labyrinths, and quiet reflection with the cloud of witnesses.

Our time together on October 31st will also honor Dios de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) through an afternoon labyrinth walk to pay our respect to friends and family who have died. We will also create an altar of remembrance celebrating this Mexican tradition.

And for those who join us overnight October 31st into November 1st, we will have an All Hallow’s Eve labyrinth walk in preparation for All Saints Day to honor our friends and loved ones who are now part of the ‘cloud of witnesses’ spoken of in Hebrews 12:1, “cheering us on from heaven as we run the race set before us.

On November 1st, we will remember All Saints Day with a morning labyrinth walk honoring saints, the departed, and the joys and sorrows of all creation. A time to remember our loved ones.

Whether you join us for just one day (October 31st) or add on the overnight into November 1st, you will be embraced by loved ones who have passed as you walk the labyrinth in remembrance.  Join us for a very special retreat to honor the dead.
