Program Details

A forgotten aspect of being human is that we exist because others of our blood and DNA did before us.  In many cultures, cultivating a relationship with one’s lineage offers an enduring wellspring of guidance, belonging, and strength. Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us: “If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. You are the continuation of each of these people.”

Join us for a powerful journey of ancestral exploration where inner discovery and sacred practice meet science and history. By turning toward your own lineage, you’ll discover the wisdom and support that your ancestors hold for you—alive and present in your very being.

Over the course of the day, we will:

• Learn about the different types of ancestors and their significance

• Create an ancestor altar

• Hear the backstory of ancestral connections in Deb's novel, The Common Hours

• Participate in a guided practice to meet one of your ancestors, asking for their insight into a life challenge

• Discover practices for ongoing connection to your lineage

Please bring a journal for reflection.

Cost: $89 (includes program from 9:30-3:30, pastries and lunch)
