"...we are still searching for meaning and purpose in a complex and constantly changing society. We are all on a testing pilgrimage through life, whether we carry a staff, a hammer, or a laptop."
Jerry Ellis/Walking to Canterbury

Everyday Life as a Spiritual Pilgrimage Workshop

You don't need to walk a sacred path in foreign lands to deepen your spirituality. Using the six different elements of a traditional spiritual pilgrimage – the preparation, departure, journey, sacred encounter, arrival, and return - this workshop opens up new ways to reframe your one 'ordinary' life. Participants are led through group discussions and a sampling of writing prompts designed to encourage spiritual inquiry and growth. The underlying themes of reverent relationship, humility, and self-acceptance are highlighted. The 2010 film "The Way" starring Martin Sheen serves as the basis for this workshop. This multi-day retreat is broken up into three sessions. Each session builds on the previous one; it is not possible to sign up for just one or two of the sessions.

Retreat is limited to a total of 8 participants via Zoom.  Registration fee: $75 includes all three sessions

This is not a writing workshop, per se, but a spiritual development retreat using writing to help us on the spiritual journey. There are no rules except to be open to the experience.

Saturday, October 16:  FIRST SESSION: Priming the Pump
Saturday, October 23: SECOND SESSION: The Deep Dive
Saturday, October 30: THIRD (FINAL) SESSION: Re-membering; Living out Your Truth

Dates: Saturdays, October 16, 23, 30, 2021; via Zoom from 9:30 - 11 a.m.
